Why Jessey’s Closet Exist?

Jessey’s Closet was created from a real moment of need!!!

When we welcomed a newborn into our home through foster care, we had an abundance of love but very few of the essentials needed to properly care for a child. In that moment, love alone didn’t feel like enough.

With one ask, everything changed.

Within hours, our community showed up in ways we will never forget providing clothing, diapers, bottles, and the basic necessities that every child deserves. They didn’t just give items, they gave us peace, reassurance, and the ability to show up fully for that child.

But that moment stayed with us.

Because while we were surrounded by support, we realized something heavy not every family has access to that kind of immediate help. Not every caregiver has a village ready to respond. And no child should ever have to wait for their basic needs to be met.

So we created what we wished every family had in that moment.

Jessey’s Closet exists to bridge that gap to ensure that every child entering foster care is met with dignity, care, and comfort, and that every caregiver feels supported, prepared, and seen from day one.

What began as a passion project has grown into something far greater than we imagined. We are proud of where we started, but even more inspired by where we are going.

What sets Jessey’s Closet apart isn’t just what we provide, it is the intention behind it. We take the time to understand each need, to move with care, and to create with purpose at every step.

Because showing up for children should never depend on access it should be guaranteed.
